Bishop Ramsey School (part of Veritas Educational Trust) is committed to recruiting the highest calibre of staff to all areas: teaching, administration and support.

If you are interested in one of the posts currently available, please ensure you read the Applicant Information Pack carefully and complete all aspects of the Application Form and Equalities Monitoring Form which you can download from the Work with Us section of this website. This allows us to perform initial short listing for the post and will affect whether you reach the next stage of the recruitment process. You will only be contacted if you are successful after the initial application stage. Your application, if unsuccessful, will be kept on file for six months.

All of our posts are subject to a number of checks and clearances as detailed below: 

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure (exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act)
  • Prohibition and Overseas checks (if required)
  • Two satisfactory references (one from your current/last employer)
    N.B. for staff who are to be employed by the Trust on a Teacher's Contract in line with the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document ie Teaching staff, one reference must be from your current or most recent Headteacher
  • Check on Qualifications
  • Teacher Regulation Agency check (for teaching staff only)
  • Medical Clearance
  • Asylum & Immigration Act - Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Online searches for all shortlisted candidates, related to suitability to work with children, to identify any incidents or issues.
