Music at Bishop Ramsey

Music plays an incredibly important part in the life of Bishop Ramsey School.  From choirs, jazz bands, brass ensembles, rock bands, orchestras and other instrumental ensembles to musical theatre and collective worship, there is something for everyone. We even have a thriving Staff Choir and Staff Chamber Choir.

There are a range of public performance opportunities each year including the Carol Service and Lent/Easter Service in local churches, our St Cecilia’s concert, and recent performances at St Paul's Cathedral and the Barbican Centre by our Canterbury Choir. Our Senior Citizens' Christmas Dinner,  afternoon tea parties and our own Sports Day as well as, by invitation, the sports days and fayres of local primary schools, ensure that performance opportunities are extensive and varied.

Whether our students choose to learn an instrument or have singing lessons at school or privately, everyone is welcome to join in the musical life of Bishop Ramsey and there is much enthusiasm to do so.
