      Published 25/09/20

On Thursday 24th September, we were delighted to welcome The Venerable Catherine Pickford, Archdeacon of Northolt to school to license our school Chaplain, Revd. Susy Dand, as well as  local clergy members who came to support Susy including Fr. John Seymour from St Lawrence, Eastcote, Fr. Simon Evans from St Martins, Ruislip and Fr. Richard Young from St Matthews, Yiewsley.

Revd Susy was presented to the Archdeacon by Mr Wilcock and Mr Britton. Staff, students and members of Revd. Susy's family were able to be present in our Chapel, socially distanced, to take part in the service.

The Chapel is the beating heart of our school and it wonderful to have Revd. Susy back to continue the vital Chaplaincy work that lies at the core of our ethos.

    • Bishop Ramsey is a Music Mark School

      Published 21/09/20

On Friday 18th September Mrs Bowden, our Head of Music, announced the lovely news that the Hillingdon Music Hub had nominated Bishop Ramsey as a Music Mark School 2020/21.

Music Mark is a membership organisation, subject association and charity that advocates for excellent music education for all children and young people. Music hubs and services around the UK are able to nominate schools who they believe have shown a commitment to providing high quality music education. The Hillingdon Music Hub has recognised the value that Bishop Ramsey places on music and our dedication to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

Music plays an integral role in the life of our school within worship, performances and lessons. The music curriculum at Bishop Ramsey allows pupils the opportunity to learn about new styles of music as well as music that interests them. The aim is that they will develop a love for a wide range of music and work together to perform a wide variety of music, once we are allowed to do so safely. Our Music Department staff are passionate about the importance of music both in lesson time and as part of the wider school and it is wonderful that this has been recognised by the Hillingdon Music Hub. We will continue to strive for the very best music education for our students.

Mrs Bowden says 'I am delighted with this achievement and hope it is the start of all the developments happening in the music department this year'

      Published 15/09/20

As we are unable to hold our usual Open Evening event for our prospective Year 7 students and their families, we decided to create a video that gives a taste of what life at Bishop Ramsey is like.  We have also created an eProspectus which gives further information about our school  as well as an understanding of what we stand for and what we do.  Click here to see both.
