Bishop Ramsey rated as ‘Outstanding’ in Section 48 Inspection

As a Church of England Academy, Bishop Ramsey is subject to regular inspections of our effectiveness as a Church School.

As a Church of England Academy, Bishop Ramsey is subject to regular inspections of our effectiveness as a Church School.  These are called SIAS or Section 48 Inspections.  Each school is given an overall judgement based on four aspects of the life of the school:-

    • How well the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meets the needs of all learners
    • The quality of the impact of the collective worship on the school community
    • The effectiveness of Religious Education
    • The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school
We were inspected on 7th-8th March by a registered SIAS Inspector who visited an assembly and several R.E. lessons and spoke to staff, students, parents and governors.  I am delighted to report that we were graded ‘Outstanding’ in each of the four categories and ‘Outstanding’ overall.  A full version of the report can be found under Ofsted in the 'About Us' section of the School’s website.
