Song written by our Canterbury Choir has been released as a single

In September 2021, Year 7 & 8 students from our Canterbury Choir joined a trial workshop with EDEN Engagement exploring the question ‘what if tree’s could sing?’. They worked with Professor Mike Roberts from the Guildhall to write their own songs answering this question. Mike took their words and melodies and curated them in the song ‘Seeds of Hope’.
EDEN is the multi-faceted world tour of Joyce Di Donato – the Kansas-born multi-Grammy and 2018 Olivier award winner opera singer – visiting 45 cities across 5 continents. Joyce visited Bishop Ramsey in February when the song and a mini documentary was filmed by Warner Classics with the Choir.
The song ‘Seeds of Hope’ has become the anthem of the EDEN tour, sung by choirs in each of the tour cities. Canterbury Choir performed with Joyce at the Barbican as part of the London leg of the tour.
The single is available on all digital platforms.
