Year 10 Football vs Douay Martyrs.
The Year 10 team entered the Plate final after a recent spell of good form. Confidence was high! Kian playing in goal made an excellent save in the first half to keep the scores at 0-0. At half-time the talk was about continuing to apply the pressure and a goal will come. Deago continued to run rings around the Douay defence, with Josh M firing in shots from distance. Eventually the goal did come, with Iain M directing the ball in to the net. Bishop Ramsey continued to defend well, not allowing Douay a sight on goal. A great performance all round. Final score: Bishop Ramsey 1 - 0 Douay Martyrs .
Year 7 Football
The Year 7 football team rounded off a perfect season with a 4-1 victory against Douay Martyrs in the Hillingdon Borough Cup Final. The team started the season in style with a 9-0 victory against Haydon. Confidence was high and Bishop Ramsey finished top of their group with 3 wins from 3 matches after victories against Northwood and Harefield Academy. After a tremendous first half performance in the Quarter-Final against Ruislip High, the team found themselves 3 goals up. However, they made things difficult for themselves conceding 3 second half goals and needing extra time to beat Ruislip High 4-3. The Semi-Final saw Bishop Ramsey face Uxbridge High in a battle of two very strong defensive units. Late in the second half the Bishop Ramsey team finally broke down the Uxbridge High defence winning 3-0. The team travelled to Barnhill on a wet and windy day to face another unbeaten side in Douay Martyrs. After a difficult first half, the team dominated the second half scoring 3 late but well deserved goals to finish the season with a perfect record and a gold medal. Well done to all of the players who have represented the side throughout the season.
