Lent Appeal & Dress-Up Day
Another successful Lent Appeal week, culminating in our annual Dress-Up Day.
As usual Lent Appeal was very successful with groups of students selling cakes etc. during the lunchtimes.
Activities also included a “Spongetastic” event, when for a mere £1 you could throw wet sponges at certain staff and students – all willing volunteers!
The culmination of the week on Friday was our annual Dress-Up Day where so many staff and students took the opportunity to dress up – there were a number of characters from Harry Potter, angels, pirates, mermaids, superheroes, vampires, fairy tale characters and in the office the char ladies were handing out the washing! The weather stayed fine enough for all students to complete the “Mile Challenge” which was extremely well organised by the PE Department.
The two chosen charities, decided by the School Council were Clic Sargent and St Luke’s Hospice.
