2012/2013 Spring Term

20 parents attended the last meeting on 5th February 2013 which was chaired by Mrs Denning, a parent governor.  Mrs Dimmock, Chair of the Governors’ Communication Committee was also present.  Ms Gavaghan (Deputy Head Teacher) and Mr Poole (Assistant Head Teacher) represented the school.

The Group discussed a wide range of topics. There was a presentation on the Learning for Life Curriculum by Ms Gavaghan and the results of the Academic Tutoring Day Parents’ Survey were discussed.

There was also a very useful discussion on the 2012 Enrichment Days, HOAC in particular, and an update on the Gifted and Talented programme.

Under ‘Any other Business’ the following issue was raised:   the issuing of GCSE certificates.

All of the above issues will be considered by the School’s Leadership Team and by the relevant Governors’ committees.

The next meeting of the Parents’ Link Group will be held on Tuesday 11th June 2013 at 7.30pm in the School Hall.

There is no formal membership of the group and all parents/carers are welcome.
