Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award 2018
Over the course of this academic year, 41 year 9 students have participated in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Divided into 6 and 7’s between 6 groups, the award culminates to an expedition through the Chiltern Hills. All 41 students excelled through their qualifying expedition and have passed this section of the award. They carried all of their equipment over two days, covering an average of 15km per day and cooking their own food.
The groups all overcame personal and physical challenges and I am proud to have lead the award this year, and all that the students have achieved. Well done to all who took part, looking forward to seeing some of you at silver!
