Excellent GCSE Results for BR students!

The 2015 cohort at Bishop Ramsey produced an excellent crop of GCSE results.

The 2015 cohort at Bishop Ramsey CoE School produced an excellent crop of GCSE results.

The percentage of A*-A grades at 32% was a credit to the students and teachers, as was the A*-C pass rate of 83%.  Of the 1623 GCSE exams taken at Bishop Ramsey all but 6 were achieved at grade F or better. Over 80% of the year group achieved 5A*-C grades with over 70% achieving the benchmark 5A*-C grades including English and Maths.

41 students gained six or more A* and A grades and 15 of these achieved five or more A* grades. Particularly outstanding was the achievement of the 4 students who achieved 9 A* grades: Oliver Benson, Iwan Day-Haynes, Ella Picton-Block and Gracia Tshiota.

Headteacher Andrew Wilcock said: “The Governors and I send our congratulations to students and teachers on this super set of results.  Changes in the examination environment sometimes make it difficult to navigate and I therefore pay tribute to all the work that has been done to ensure the best for all students.”
