    • Bishop Ramsey awarded as 'Outstanding' following SIAMS Inspection.

      Published 09/02/18

Following our recent SIAMS Inspection, we are pleased to inform you that Bishop Ramsey was found to be "Outstanding" in all four of the areas inspected.

      • How well the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meets the needs of all learners
      • The impact of collective worship on the school community
      • The effectiveness of Religious Education
      • The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school.

This is great tribute to the contribution to our Christian Learning Community by all those who are part of it; students, staff, Governors and parents. We would like to pay particular tribute to the contributions of our Chaplaincy Team and our Religious Studies Faculty, whose work was singled out for praise, and to the students of the school whose commitment to Bishop Ramsey, positive behaviour and willingness to lead are very clearly evident throughout the report.

Susy Dand and Dan Bishop our Chaplains, commented:

"It is an utter joy to see an 'outstanding' judgement on the schools SIAMS inspection. the School works very hard to embed our distinctively Christian ethos within the day to day life of its staff and pupils. This is an encouragement that what we are indeed 'Outstanding'. It's an answer to prayer."

Josh Newton,  a Senior Chaplaincy Representative commented:

"I am delighted that the hardwork paid off and the outcome was a good representation of the enthusiasm put in to chaplaincy"
